TWÉO-MANN by Rada Nita & Michael Byrne
A5, 49 pages, Black & white printing, Perfect bound, Softcover, 2025
A short story zine in the tradition of the chapbook, Twéo-mann is an atmospheric tale of grief, vengeance, and uncanny encounters rooted in myth and folklore. Written in a style echoing Old English, it blends the cadence of medieval texts with a modern sensibility.
The work was shortlisted for the 2024 V. S. Pritchett Short Story Award, where critic Juliet Jacques praised its mythic atmosphere and world-building.
Illustrated with bespoke black-and-white drawings by Rada Nita (@Rada.Nita), the zine places strong emphasis on visual storytelling alongside the text. The artwork recalls medieval marginalia and folkloric illustration, giving the book a distinctive aesthetic presence.
