GOOD PRESS was formed in October 2011 in Glasgow, Scotland, in order to provide a space to support the promotion, production and sale of independent publications. Previously based in Mono, alongside neighbors and friends Monorail Records, GOOD PRESS moved in March 2015 to a new home at 5 St. Margaret's Place, Glasgow.

After 4 years at St Margaret's Place, Good Press moved to 32 St Andrew's Street, where shares its new home with Sunday's riso print service & open access studio, and Lunchtime Gallery

From its inception to June 2019, Good Press held regular and irregular exhibitions.

We also (infrequently) co-ordinate THE GOOD PRESS UK PRINT RESOURCE this is in dire need of an update and is currently inactive, sorry.

We also run artists' projects, produce publications, residencies, external exhibitions, screenings, talks and other events from time to time.

Overseas postage has got really expensive - especially to the United States. We’re looking at ways to minimise the costs but tbf, its really difficult. If you put a few things in your cart and you think ‘huh? that seems too much postage!’ please email us and we can check if the amount was correct, or we can get it mailed out cheaper.

Sadly, due to changes in EU VAT regulations in place from 1 July 2021 we are not currently shipping orders to Europe. We hope to figure this out soon.

If you’d prefer to pick up your order from us, select the ‘Collection’ option at checkout.

STOCKING PUBLICATIONS

All publications are held on a payment upon sale basis. We take a 35% commission on all retail prices. If you would like to submit your publication, please send us an e-mail with details such as author, price, a description of the book or zine, alongside photographs or a PDF if you can.

Please do not send samples by post - it often means we won't get back to you as quickly as we could via e-mail, also it costs you money! If you wish to submit your publication, simply e-mail us as stated across.
