RUINATION IS A FORM OF TIME TRAVEL by James Mansfield
A5, 24 pages, full colour printing, pull out A3 insert, saddle stitched, 2021
Ruination is a form of time travel (by James Mansfield), is an investigation into a restricted military area in south west Scotland. Through a series of visits in the summer of 2020 and the browsing of a Scottish archaeological database, the publication assembles photographs, writing and tweets. It is accompanied by an additional text which is a rewriting of a section of William Morris’s 1890 novel, The Well at the World’s End.
(It is a sequel of sorts to ‘Lost in Manchego’ also published in 2021.)
