A novella, sound composition and set of photos produced during the torna residency programme in Şile, Istanbul Province in 2024, notes on torna follows an unnamed sound technician, hired by a lathe operator to soundproof their workshop and research unidentified spectral noises within the region.

Covering a two-week stay in Şile, the narrative moves between work documentation, essay and memoir, folding in auditory memories from Tirana, Berlin, London and elsewhere, with reflections on tinnitus, sonic hallucinations, Black Sea mythology, noise pollution, flight anxiety and Havana Syndrome.
