The poems in I Work A Lot... were written between Boorloo/Perth and Sweden, 2022-23. In her practice, Kate makes solar prints onto canvas and okther matierals, from drawings on transparent surfaces that she leaevs to be exposed to natural light. The prints are left to develop over the course of long periods, between her visits back to Australia. Her writing is, similarly, a rumination on place, enviroment, memory and encounter.
