Daughter of the Universe is a visual-led zine by Minyue Hu, combining illustration, collage and found imagery.

Set within a soft yet vibrant visual language inspired by early internet aesthetics and personal memory, the work unfolds through a series of short narratives drawn from the artist’s childhood in China.

These stories reflect on experiences of growing up under the one-child policy, family relationships, shame, care and loss, each accompanied by vivid imagery.

This is a deeply personal project that traces a journey of growth, identity and self-understanding.
