Copying of Modern Sutras is a bilingual Japanese-English zine introducing the practice of “Copying Modern Sutras,” which sees QR codes as contemporary sutras.

By deliberately copying QR codes by hand, the practice questions our faith in efficiency.
The zine brings together photographs and short texts. Each copy includes a QR code hand-painted with mineral pigments on usumino Japanese washi paper and is individually numbered.
