This publication explores the world of Chilltans, shape-shifters, fluid sacred spirits that have been an integral part of spiritual traditions in Central Asia. In this book by DAVRA collective, research on Chilltans is presented through academic texts, prose, poetry, photographs, illustrations and collages. The publication accompanied a series of public events by the collective that took place during the documenta fifteen exhibition in Kassel in 2022. All these events together created a ritual of self-discovery, exchange of knowledge and communal healing through memory.
