"Mercuro-Chrome is the tin-foiled alter ego of the >CHOKE< poet, artist and musician Jamie Bolland and adapts his poem 'On All Fours' for performance with costumes by Morven Mulgrew.
The ballet dancer Vaslav Nijinski experienced a psychotic episode toward the end of his career and exclaimed in his diaries "I am God, I was not God, I am a clown of God..." This quote forms the starting point for an extended on-going exploration into bipolar identity, delusional intuition and the body; with the performance taking the form of a megalomaniacal tract spliced with rhythms and samples of Ornette Coleman, Goblin, the b-side rap of Madonna, and occasional auto-tune.”
