Artists’ Drawings publishes drawings made by artists with a focus on how drawing can be used to develop and articulate ideas. Led by images and intentions, it combines drawings made today with others from the near and distant past.

Issue #1 explores relationships between drawing and sculpture through forty drawings (broadly defined) selected from an open call for submissions and museum collections. Alongside these drawings are three short commissioned texts—by Stu Burke, Olivia Bax and Matt Page—and an excerpt from Paul Valéry’s writing on drawing.
