A Walk in The Hollies’ is an illustrated publication documenting my personal experience spending time on The Hollies woodland in Leeds but aims to celebrate all natural spaces and the beauty within them. It is a collection of drawings, collage and photographs, and includes snippets of text from Annie Dillard’s book ‘Pilgrim at Tinker Creek’. The publication aims to encourage taking time to explore, revel and be curious about nature and what it has to offer on a more personal level. “The answer must be, I think, that beauty and grace are performed whether or not we will or sense them. The least we can do is try to be there.” (Annie Dillard, 1974).
