HEIRS by F. Fitzroy
A5, 44 pages, Colour printing, Hand sewn, Softcover, 2024
HEIRS is a collection of essays and prose-poems, written in English and French, originating in Montreal, Québec, Canada. Its many themes include 90s indie cinema, recollections of Leftist family history, contemporary politics, nostalgia, Montreal's diners, and, of course, videostores. HEIRS was created entirely on the typewriter under the name F. M. Fitzroy. Its selection of texts always circles back to one theme: How we make sense of the 21st Century? What's its distinctive language? How can that language relate to the past?
