The publication is grounded in an embodied cognition approach, emphasizing that learning occurs not only intellectually, but also through bodily experience.

In our daily life, we increasingly hear invitations to ‘be in nature.’ Often, we imagine it as a romanticized, beautiful, and harmonious space, where nature becomes a backdrop for leisure tied to specific locations. This publication addresses contemporary questions about the relationship between humans and the environment, reflecting a broader understanding of landscape. Rather than returning to an imagined past balance of nature, the authors invite us to consider how to continue a more conscious coexistence within our complex world — without striving to simplify, fix, or make it comfortable.

The contributors represent a range of disciplines: architecture, design, art, and literature, highlighting the relevance of the topic across fields.
