‘SMERIS is the outcome of a collaboration between NICO SALL (brussels HECTOLITER project space) and JONKIE MOORDKUIL (IFBR).

As piano tuner, N. S. made a large amount of technic photographs from the innards of the instruments he had to fix. Those photographs had been then printed with a laser copier, and physically cut and remixed by J. M. with the help of self designed patterns. Finally the result was reprint direct on the glass of the copy machine and binded to a new arrangement.’
