“Inhospitable, inhuman, and isolated, refugee camps across Europe share these traits. As stigmatised places, it is important to escape homogenising media imagery and see how these spaces are gradually transformed into self-constructed townships.
Set in the camp of Nea Kavala in Northern Greece, this photo-zine attempts to document the sense of a collectively stolen future while showing the perseverance of its community.
All proceeds will be donated to Drop in the Ocean, a small NGO that distributes clothing and supplementary food, as well as providing laundry, bike rental, and woodworking services.”
