WHIT STILLMAN: NOT SO LONG AGO
110 x 200mm, 176 pages, black and white printing, various paper stocks, perfect bound, softcover with coloured edges, 2023
On the occasion of FIDMarseille’s 2023 retrospective honouring the American filmmaker Whit Stillman, Fireflies Press is teaming up with the festival to publish Whit Stillman: Not so long ago, the inaugural title of our joint monograph series One Two Many.
Alongside a new 15,000-word, career-spanning interview, Whit Stillman: Not so long ago features essays, a fold-out dossier of archival documents, as well as a selection of Stillman’s own personal writings on cinema.
Offering a range of unique perspectives on Stillman’s oeuvre, the book brings together critics, filmmakers and scholars from the French- and English-speaking worlds: Serge Bozon, Charlotte Garson, Haden Guest, Beatrice Loayza, Cyril Neyrat, Nick Pinkerton and Félix Rehm.
