EPHEMERAL VIEW #1-5

21.6 x 28cm, 24 pages, Risograph printed, Folded/saddle stitch, 2019

A limited opportunity to acquire every issue of this 'zine by Chicago High School Students! Ephemeral View is a publication by students at North Grand High School with assistance from Chicago Public School Teacher Katy Jung and Teaching Artist Marc Fischer. Our publication is produced and funded through the programming of Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education (CAPE). Each publication is packed with drawings, photos, interviews, poetry, comics, and other items generated by a spirited group of girls (mostly first year students). There were then printed on a RISO and are presented here in a tidy plastic sleeve with an extra bonus surprise print.

The content for each issue was often derived from inspiration that came from going on field trips. These included trips to the Garfield Park Conservatory, a forest preserve and the Chicago Cultural Center and Millennium Park. There is also a special double issue devoted to the K-pop band B.T.S.

This collection of issues will help fund one final field trip: a bus and CTA trip to Chinatown for Chinese food and a visit to the K-pop music store.
