BLACK FRAMES by Eleonora Marton
A5, 36 pages, Black & white printing, Perfect bound, Softcover, 2020
“The idea for this project has been in the back of my mind for quite some time. After showing us Day for Night by Truffaut, my art school professor was discussing film conventions and scene transitions and pointed out the moments when the screen goes completely dark to achieve an invisible cut. Since then I’ve always paid attention to those black frames when watching movies and have been interested in how, although everything is dark, you perceive a situation, an object, or a feeling."
