12 Wine Glasses / 12 Water Glasses, is a type specimen accompanying the launch of Silvana Text, a text version of the display typeface Silvana, which was designed by design studio Formal Settings and published by Blaze Type, a French type foundry. In addition to the usual type specimen elements, the book also features drawings by Jacob Grönbech Jensen and texts by John Seung-Hwan Lee. Formal Settings is a Berlin- and Copenhagen-based type and graphic design studio, founded in 2014 by Amanda-Li Kollberg and Siri Lee Lindskrog. Their practice focuses on creating typographically driven visual communication and publications in collaboration with various international clients, primarily in the fields of art and culture. Amanda-Li and Siri Lee are also co-authors of the book Notes On Book Design, published in 2023 by Dutch publisher Onomatopee. From 2021-2024, they have been co-organizers of the Nordic design festival Post Design Festival.
