Over 3 months, 11 emerging creatives were given access to leading cultural institutions and practitioners through School SOS, a speculative experimental design school aimed at countering the current dominant mode of neoliberal education in arts and beyond. The school culminated in a multimedia 2-week exhibition at the South London Gallery, tackling themes from the UK's hostile environment policy, to India's imposition of blackouts in Kashmir. Given a few months of space from the programme and exhibition, Room for Non-Negotiation: A School SOS Anthology presents the students’ and guest practitioners’ reflections and responses to this creative pursuit.
