DIE ÜBERGÄNGE SIND RÄTSELHAFT By Anna Gille
27.5 x 20 cm, 112 pages, Full colour offset printed, Perfect bound, Hardcover, 2015
"Die Übergänge sind rätselhaft” deals with the dualism of nature and technology, construction and organisms, the animated and the inanimated, and the design and condition of environments. The book is a collection of drawings showing various constructions of landscape, that includes gardens and parks, as well as virtual landscapes seen in computer games and 3D simulations. The drawings are a record of a variety of representations of nature. They are what we consider we can use nature for, in our urban and suburban environments, or what we imagine we can use nature for in a digitally generated landscape. The drawings present the blurring bounderies between the natural and the artificial and the virtual and the real, not through confrontation but through a neutral position that allows a questioning of these enigmatic transitions."
