This is a little story about a walk in a familiar place, a visit to the rustling tree, the pond, the “no walker” signs of the lambing pasture, the pony field where I once saw the mother and baby deer, the path behind the pond and the startled buzzard, and the empty cliff of the old peregrine. Mixing memories (real and imagined), histories (natural and local), and drawings, this is a ramble in every sense.
