Moments of change and transition can be uncomfortable. Fear and defensiveness can make us try to escape the uncertainty of change, to return to what is comfortable and familiar to us.

This Series of work tries to encapsulate this uncertainty, freezing a moment of transition. Exploring the vulnerability of being poised between the present and the past. Memories we have hidden away in our subconscious, that we may want to relive and escape – sometimes at the same time.

I’ve tried to capture what it feels like to be caught in a cross roads between one thing and another. To embody what it feels like to be vulnerable, to be confused, to be afraid. And to be alive.
