Night Shift brings together writing by Eileen Daly (Five Poems) and Leanne Turvey (Mountains) under the title of Night Shift. Night Shift alludes to the idea of work (the work of writing, other kinds of work); the space between night and morning (of what happens in those hours i.e. thinking, writing, not being asleep); and the sense of shift (of something happening) between two states, e.g. night and day. The writing encompasses things that are lost, things that are gained. Memory, longing, shape, form, attention, loss, love, arrangement, remembering, as well as the writing being offered a reader through being published and read.
