List Of Numbers is literally an exercise in listing numbers: each month, each day, each moment is broken into pieces as I line them up and shape them into a book that can be touched. As I glued them back together, arranged them, teared them up, and threw them away, I created a messy picture of my day. But chaos has logic and sense. The seemingly random arrangement of numbers has a definite structure from a distance. The drawings and photographs are jumbled together. It's hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. Many things sit still around the numbers, jumbled and overlapped. This is the fourth year I've made a calendar, and for this one I worked with three elements: drawings, photographs of my drawings, and photographs. I've made the calendar by imagining the numbers in different ways, standing up, lying down, and looking at them from the side.
