‘Starfishing’ is a poetry pamphlet centering around the wistful themes of love, rest, and coming-of-age. If the poem has a narrative arc, it is a story of plunging into the sea, (star)fishing, and ultimately finding oneself safe and sunlit, even if stung and salt-encrusted, on the shore. 'Starfishing' features the poem Waiting for You with a Clementine in Montmartre, which Richard Skinner has described as "a delicious waltz-like poem with (obviously) a foody theme, but it is subtler than that – the clementine acts as a locus around which the poet talks about hope, loss, self-realisation and, yes, love. A gorgeous dance of words."
