WAYS IN WHICH YOU COULD BE FAILING by Theo Zeal
17.8 x 22.9cm, 32 pages, black and white with tip in, staple bound. Edition of 100, 2021
The project is a celebration of failure and can be best summarised by an excerpt from the introduction written by John Utterson: "...What do we mean by failure, and how might we engage with the notion were we to move past the common understanding of it: beyond our anxieties about failure – the worst-case scenarios – that seem to determine it fully? What, for example, might failure look like were it to be released from its subordination to success; were failure to be, as Zeal’s photographs would appear to suggest - tellingly enclosed within an old school exercise book - the point, and not the problem?
