"Attrition (the reduction of strength through sustained attack or pressure) is a drawing collaboration between artists Jon Vaughn and Patrick Kyle. Each page is filled edge to edge with black abstract drawings in an eclectic array of styles. There are simple, quick line drawings, detailed renderings of webs and textures, perfect, graph-like sketches, and more. The artists make little attempt to marry these varying styles, instead allowing them to layer and build on top of one another, awkwardly invading the other’s space to create a chaotic, crowded feel."
