TO TAME A WILD TONGUE
Wednesday 2nd April until Saturday 26th April 2014
An exhibition of recent work by Tine Bek. Utilising the photograph, and moving image, Tine's work for explores a clash between the manmade and the synthetic, notions of truth and the context of objects and experience. Tame a new 'slideshow' of sorts takes the comparison and juxtaposition of imagery at it's core, and the merging of experience and vision.
"Artificial as well as natural objects, are all equally caught in the flux of appearances that are alternately exotic and unknowable, pedestrian and banal.
All things seem to float free of consequence in a strange, tragic, utopic world that appears to exist without hierarchy or regime. Obscurity to an almost comic extent takes form via the characters lack of belonging to their spaces."
